DRIVE provides back to school food & supplies to 300 local children.
With the help of many generous volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors, including, Target, Kroger, and Marshalls, DRIVE was able to provide much needed back to school food & supplies to 300 local children.
During the Back 2 School 2022 program DRIVE provided a full tote bag of non-perishable food and brand new lunchboxes to 160 impoverished and homeless children. All food items provided were shelf stable and lunchbox ready such as beef jerkey, shelf stable milk, cheese and peanut butter sandwhich crackers, goldfish crackers, granola bars, fruit cups, and more!
In addition to that, DRIVE was also able to provide 140 brand new backpacks FULL of school supplies to in need students within our three "Elementary Eats" supported schools. These backpacks had everything needed to start the school year off on the right foot including markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors, glue, pencil boxes, pencils, pens, folders, notebooks and more!
The DRIVE team distributed all lunchboxes on Saturday 8/13 & all backpacks on Monday 8/22.
