ACCESS TO HYGIENE PRODUCTS AND CLEAN CLOTHES HELPS AT-RISK CHILDREN FOCUS MORE IN SCHOOL AND HAVE FEWER ABSENCES.

• According to the Annie E. Casey Foundation 19% of children in Michigan are at or below the poverty line.
• DRIVE is currently building a closet to provide basic necessities to these children that are located throughout Macomb and Oakland Counties.
• We are in the early stages of building inventory for this initiative so we are very actively collecting NEW and VERY GENTLY used Clothing & Shoes. We will be helping children through age 18 with this initiative so newborn through adult sizes are welcome!
• We are also collecting NEW toiletries.
   – ITEMS NEEDED: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, wipes, etc.
• By donating to this initiative, you will be supporting the basic need for a local child to be clean and clothed. This will make a direct, and hugely positive impact on their life and our community!

DRIVE has also partnered with OUAC Troy for Closet Donations! Any items that are brought in to sell that are NOT purchased by OUAC can be donated directly to DRIVE on your behalf instead of being returned to you. Just let them know that you want the remainder of your items to be donated to the DRIVE CLOSET! Go home with some cash AND good vibes!
